Julia Clark from Dine with Jules will lead this year’s progressive dinner.

One of the great benefits of the central city is the vast number of experiences on offer and there is no better one than the annual central city progressive dinner.

This exciting event is the opportunity for the public to enjoy the traditional progressive dinner model with a vibrant and exciting twist in the big city. With five restaurants on offer – each providing a meal course with a matching drink – this is a fantastic way to enjoy some of the central city’s best restaurants all in one evening.

Attendees to the event do not know where they will be going until they are led from restaurant to restaurant by the effervescent Julia Clark from Dine with Jules. The journey between venues often becomes an event in itself, as Jules delights the crowd with fun activities and activations en route.

Having attended every progressive dinner since they started in 2019, I have had the pleasure of hearing the Hamilton Brass Band, eating an ice cream riverside, watching breakdancing at Victoria on the River, dancing with Wai Taiko Drummers down a laneway, and receiving a rather fetching balloon animal from a professional balloon twister along with the fabulous dining options.

This event is an absolute highlight of the social calendar, and although we won’t know where we are going until we are under way on October 3, previous restaurants have included Mr Pickles, Gothenburg, Palate, Naughty Naan, Furnace, and Iguana. I cannot wait to see what’s on offer to tantalise the tastebuds this year.

With only 50 tickets on offer, visit withjules.co.nz and come and enjoy an evening of gastro delights, meeting new people and enjoying the surprises and festivities along the way.
