Sharing a space with the South Bloc offices and neighbouring the Hamilton District Court, Anne Fern sees plenty of professionals through its doors throughout the day. Rocket coffee is available to drink onsite, or you can purchase filter or espresso beans to take away with you. Hanging pots of foliage add a hit of green to the glossy wood panelling, and from the coffee jugs to the ethos everything here is sleek and simple.
The small sweet selection is supplied by local company La Rosa, who has a welcome creative flair with their tart flavours (try the ricotta and almond for something different). Doughnuts here are the talk of the town and are available on Thursdays and Fridays only, flying out the door almost as soon as they arrive. There’s a small amount of seating for those wanting to sit in - perch in the cool interior or sit up at the counter and watch the friendly baristas do their thing.
